The Pregnancy Care Center is bursting at the seams! In three years at our current location, with only 1,100 sq. ft., we have watched our client numbers increase by over 800%. We are currently serving over 4,000 individuals annually through our programs and the demand is rising. In our new 3,300 sq. ft. building, with your help, we can serve even more!
When a woman learns she is pregnant, her life is changed forever. She has three choices: parenting, adoption or abortion. Many women feel abortion is a simple solution to a difficult situation, yet they may live a life of regret after that decision is made. At the PCC, we offer every woman crucial information so she can make an informed decision in an atmosphere of security and
trust. Every pregnant client, including the one who is at-risk for abortion, has the opportunity to see her baby through ultrasound. She then is carefully guided through her options. Over 50% of women considering abortion at this point choose life! Yet for those who choose to end their pregnancy, our loving arms are open wide for those who may face devastation and need hope.
There is great joy and celebration for those who make the courageous
decision to continue their pregnancies! We help those parents be the
best parents possible, and offer support throughout that pregnancy
and beyond. There is no greater joy than to hold a baby, when we
know that life may have ended were it not for our intervention.
Our current office does not provide the basic privacy and confidentiality
our clients need. It does not have the appearance of a professional
medical facility. It does not allow for group classes, allowing clients to
build lasting relationships with other women. There isn’t even a
bathroom near the ultrasound room! Administrative staff is often
asked to leave their office, as yet another client needs help and we need a room with a door.
Our new, inviting medical office will allow us to see even more women and men for services. Abortion rates in Josephine County are down by 18%. Together, we can watch those rates go down even further, as women realize there are options other than abortion. The total cost of this project is $600,000, to be raised over 18 months. This amount covers the costs of the design and construction, the land, and all furnishings (including phone system, window coverings, and much-needed computers and equipment). These resources will help us expand and improve the quality of our services—an investment in the lives and futures of our clients. Please join us!
